Jason has spent more than three decades working to support students and strengthen mathematics education in a variety of ways. After beginning his career as an educational assistant in RETSD, he has spent most of the past 25 years teaching high school mathematics, helping students build both their skills and confidence in the subject. Throughout this time, Jason’s work has extended beyond the traditional classroom through his involvement in the FLEX program, where he supports students in an alternative learning environment, and through his experience as a curriculum consultant, collaborating with teachers and schools to strengthen instructional practice. He has also taught in the University of Winnipeg’s ACCESS program, supporting future educators as they develop effective approaches to teaching mathematics in K–8 settings. Alongside his teaching career, Jason has been a committed high school football coach, reflecting his passion for mentorship, teamwork, and student growth.
