Manitoba Teachers’ Society Professional Development Day
In this session for teachers of grades 3-6+, we will look at ways to address the range of capacities in our learners through a teaching through problem-solving lens. Drawing on the proportional reasoning strand, we will explore rich tasks and an intentional instructional methodology aimed to bring out the best in our intermediate students.

Carole Fullerton is passionate about mathematics instruction.
Carole is a teacher-leader working in K-12 classrooms across Canada to support the development of quality numeracy instruction. Addressing student diversity through rich questions, teaching through problem-solving and planning around the Big Math Ideas are essential aspects of her practice.
